Where Grief Meets Spirit
Diptych | Two 12x12" Panels | Mixed Media on Raw Linen
Acrylic, Plaster of Paris, Ground Limestone, Ground Marble & Coffee

Where Grief Meets Spirit is a quiet invocation — a visual prayer for what we feel but can’t always say. Created on hand-stretched raw linen, this diptych honors the liminal space between loss and presence, between what has gone and what still lingers.

With soft washes of misty white that suggest spirit beings, grounding blacks that speak of grief, and warm tones of brown and beige that hold the in-between, these two panels explore the tender place where memory and mystery meet. The raw linen, visible through areas of clear gesso, becomes part of the message — something unvarnished and true showing through.

Crafted with plaster of Paris, ground marble, limestone, coffee, and acrylic, these textures are layered like emotion — raw and refined at once. Where Grief Meets Spirit is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to remember that we are always standing at the edge of something sacred.
