I Almost Remember

There are hidden memories underneath this painting.
It began as an acrylic work with layers of color and texture that were eventually covered with zinc white oil paint. I began again over that surface, following the bright colors that were instinctively finding their way into this collection.
The original painting is mostly hidden now, but it hasn't disappeared. Its texture remains. You can see evidence of it beneath the surface without knowing exactly what was there before.
Memory can feel like that.
We carry so much that we can no longer fully retrieve. A color, a texture, a feeling can suddenly make something inside us stir without delivering the entire story.
Part of the 80's Child Is Full of Woe collection, I Almost Remember lives in that space between remembering and forgetting—the things that remain underneath, shaping what comes next even when we can no longer see them clearly.
When you purchase an original, if you don’t choose to pick it up from the studio you will be sent an additional invoice for shipping costs.
