This painting began with play.

I started by experimenting with color combinations on paper without trying to make a finished artwork. Once the papers dried, I added scribbles with oil pastel and pencil, cut the works into squares, and one particular palette stood out: robin’s egg blue, deep navy, yellow ochre, and soft pinks breaking through beneath the surface.

The final painting carries traces of all of it —
marks from the palette,
colors and movements that feel impressionistic,
scribbled marks.

As I painted, one thought kept moving through me:

I have everything I need.

This piece became a meditation on releasing thought patterns rooted in scarcity and fear disguised as practicality. It is about trusting joy, trusting vision, and allowing creativity itself to become a sustaining force.

I painted for nearly an entire day in uninterrupted creative flow.

The gold-painted edges became a final honoring of the experience itself — a reminder that devotion to creativity is its own form of abundance.
