The Path of Enchantment 36 x 48 Acrylic on Canvas
The Path of Enchantment
36 x 48 inches
Acrylic on Canvas
Part of the Spring Awakening Collection
This painting was created during a weekend of complete creative flow.
Layers of soft pinks, violet, light blue, yellow ochre, and small moments of green, the piece carries the feeling of movement, warmth, and wonder. It feels expansive to me — like stepping into a place where instinct leads and time loosens its grip a little.
While painting, I was listening to By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult and thinking about storytelling, hidden authorship, imagination, and the lives women have carved for themselves beneath the surface of history.
I painted this right after coming from from visiting the large-scale troll installations by Thomas Dambo in Raleigh with my best friend and her family. I think some of that sense of play, folklore, and enchantment found its way into this piece too.
This painting is not something to explain, it’s a vibe. It wants to be experienced. Follow it’s trail of wonder.
