Scorpio Season
36 × 36 inches | Abstract Mixed Media
Deep indigo, black, and veils of zinc white come together in Scorpio Season, an exploration of the depth, intensity, and emotional complexity of this water sign.
Built upon a black acrylic underpainting, expressive indigo oil stick marks move beneath layers of zinc white oil paint, creating a sense of mystery and movement. Crisp black edges frame the composition, while an unexpected splash of pink reveals something softer beneath the surface.
Like the Scorpio personality, this piece explores the contrast between a formidable exterior and the tenderness that lies within. A reminder that what appears intimidating at first glance may simply be protecting something deeply sensitive.
When you purchase an original, you can pick it up at my home studio or pay the shipping fee. (Only ships in the USA). To select studio pick up by appointment select the button that says “more payment options before you purchase to be given a choice of shipping or studio pick up).
